Autumnal Happenings

A big thank you to everyone who attended the Opening of my art show, “New England Scenes,” at the Lawrence Library in Pepperell on Oct. 10! It was great to see you all and I appreciate your interest. The show has been extended and now runs through Nov. 19. Included in the show are some of my miniature paintings. They are in the display case in the lobby, across from the front desk. With them is some general information about miniature art and miniature art societies. The library and art gallery are open Tues-Thurs. 10-8; Fri. 10-5; Sat 10-4; closed on Sun. and Mon. The library is located at 15 Main St (Rte. 113) in Pepperell.

My apologies to those who looked for me at Grotonfest this year. Due to the rainy weekend of Oct. 3 & 4, Grotonfest was postponed to Oct. 10 – the day of the Opening at the library - and I was unable to attend.

I have several new paintings at the Gallery at Floral Arts in Westford on exhibit to celebrate the fall season. There are additional artists exhibiting their work, including the owner/resident artist, Georgia Spanos. The gallery is located at 129 Littleton Rd (Rte 110) in Westford, MA, across from the technical high school. If you have not yet seen this gallery, I assure you it is worth visiting!

I had a great time and I learned a lot at the week-long watercolor workshop with Tony Couch this summer in Turners Falls, MA. He is an excellent instructor with many years of experience. His teaching included solid design principles and a boldness of approach. I highly recommend Tony’s workshop, as well as his book “Watercolor: You Can Do It” which is available through his website.

Groton Community School Home Tours Art Fair will be my next event. It is in Groton on Rte. 119 on Sat. Nov. 21 (snow date is Sun. Nov. 22). I will be selling note cards and paintings at the school from 9:00 to 1:00.

Thank you for visiting my web site. I hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall foliage this year!
