My watercolor painting, “Shelved” was awarded “Best of Show” at the Westford Regional Art Event being held in the Parish Center for the Arts, 10 Lincoln St., Westford MA, Sept. 22 - Oct. 1. (The gallery is open Sun, Sept. 24: 10-4:00; Thu, Sept 28, 4-9:00pm; Sat, Sept 30, 10-4:00; and Sun, Oct 1, 11-2:30.) Judge’s comment: “The true test for judging for ‘Best of Show’ is how much I would like a painting hanging in my home. This is brilliant and exhibits masterful technique. Congratulations on a job well done.”

This same painting, “Shelved”, was juried into the Rhode Island Watercolor Society’s annual National Watermedia Show in Pawtucket RI this past May and was awarded “Honorable Mention.”

As Featured Artist, I have 12 paintings on display this month in Picture Yourself! a superb Frame Shop and Gallery at 17 Central Square, Chelmsford MA. The theme is “Nature’s Splendor”. (Open Tues., Wed., Fri. 11-5, and Sat. 11-3)

One of my watercolor paintings has been juried into the “North East Watercolor Society’s International Exhibit” in Kent CT, to be held October 8-29. This painting, “Shot”, depicts one of my father’s Jeep pickup trucks (a 1952 model), which was his everyday “workhorse” – it plowed snow, hauled hay, towed other vehicles out of the mud. He also drove it uptown and back, slowly, much to the consternation of the other drivers! (Kent Art Assoc. Gallery, 21 S. Main St., Kent CT.
